Grid Layouts

Without too much thought or planning, these are some different layouts I've come up with over the past couple of hours. Sort of 'grid improvisations', if you will. I started by creating guides at certain distances throughout the first document, began to implement repetition of shapes loosely based on the spacial properties of the "Captain Rick" contents, then combined certain objects on a second document, set new ground rules and alignments, threw in circles, combined the next document with the previous, mixed and matched various documents and sections of documents, etc! I originally started out very meticulous, creating a grid while altering and placing the type as I went and sort of hit a dead end with a few boring layouts..so I think that this was a good exercise to try and attempt to push the project further.
